Dawlish Gardens Trust ( DGT Devon) is situated in Dawlish in beautiful Devon. DGT moved to the current site in 2004 where we now have a 7 acre site with various buildings used for different purposes. Originally we had two barns: one used to store machinery and repair vehicles the other used for offices and mess room.
Horticulture -Protected cropping at DGT.
We are predominately horticulture based so the majority of what we do is related to horticulture. In the early years we erected an automated block of commercial 4 bay double ‘Venlo’ glasshouses, giving an area of 136.5 square meter. We now have 784 square meters of poly tunnels and 196 square meter shade tunnel. All are supplied water through an automated irrigation system which is taken from our own 40 meter deep on site bore hole.
